The Ocean Max Specialty reels are ideal for smoker kings, sailfish, striped and white marlin fishing. The precision graduated drags are designed for use with monofilament lines and have positive stop pin strike and full drag maximums targeted for lines of 15 to 25 pound test lines. The click detent drag preset won't drift while fishing or fighting once it is set and the reel can easily match drag range to line test. The carbon fiber drag delivers a wide range, smooth performance curve even when wet. The Ocean Max Specialty Reels are precision machined from rigid, one piece tempered aluminum billets with cold-forged aluminum spools to stand up to monofilament stretch. The high speed, 5.8:1 gear ratio assures fast line recovery through high precision, heat treated stainless steel gears. Six super German made, shielded stainless steel ball bearings are strategically located for the best of smoothness and power transfer. All stainless steel spool click mechanisms will stand up to the longest runoffs.
